Borguesse Mozaffarian was born and raised in Vancouver Canada. Growing up in the cultural melting pot that is the West Coast, she has always been passionate about travel and exploring other cultures. During her trips around the world the various sculptures, architecture, and fashion inspired her jewellery designs and art practice-driving her to create bold, statement pieces that are unique and versatile, suitable for day-to-day wear as well as for special events.

Borguesse comes from a lineage of 5 generations of jewellers, who deal with traditional fine jewellery around the world.

Borguesse received her formal education from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design University where she received her BFA in Jewellery Design & Metalsmithing. She has also completed multiple certificates from the Gemological Institute of America, and has completed her Professional Gemmology certification at the Canadian Gemmological Association.

During her time at NSCAD, Borguesse learned traditional metalsmithing techniques, but also created large-scale, sculptural pieces of contemporary jewellery, that now inspire the designs she creates for the jewellery being sold.
