The Ephemeral | Ethereal Series

The Ephemeral | Ethereal series is a product of my exploration of alternative materials in my jewellery practice. In allowing this type of playful experimentation I am able to use everyday materials that are labelled as temporary and disposable to create one-of-a-kind pieces of adornment.  My inspiration for these designs are born from observing beautifully constructed sculptures and architecture during my travels to Europe and Asia. These pieces maintain a strong visual presence, attributed to the combination of scale and unique texture.

The Clay Series

The Clay Series is a direct response from my handling of the polymer clay. In allowing my hands to explore the material with no predispositions  of the outcome these organic shapes were formed, creating this unique and bold line of art jewellery. While forming each individual component, my thoughts, environment, physical and mental state all varied, but  in allowing my myself to work expressively, I was able to create these unique and eloquent shapes, purely on instinct.
